ASPAN MODULAR SOFTWARE TOOL

ASPAN is a CAD/CAM application recognised throughout the world as one of the most user-friendly CNC machine tool programming packages available on the market today. ASPAN is a CAD/CAM application for programming numerical control machinery for wood, aluminium and plastic, characterized by a great ease of use, versatility and support to a large number of machines types.

Intuitive and easy to use user interface
Integrated CAD environment that include all that you need to realize drawings through simple and dedicated commands (holes, routings, etc.) and also evoluted and powerful commands (text, pockets, tilted planes, etc.)
Integrated CAM environment where drawings are converted into machine programs by using a series of utilities for operations such as automatically assigning tools and optimising machining sequences
Support of a large number of machinery of the major producers such as Morbidelli, SCM, Biesse, Busellato, Anderson, CMS, Homag, MasterWood, Casadei, CO.BA.L.M. and others
Possibility to generate programs for multiple machines starting out from a single drawing
Import procedure for files in DXF format, CSV and text (.asc) files, and also possibility of connection with AutoCAD

To add even more power to the already incredibly powerful ASPAN CAD/CAM base package there are a series of add-on modules:

Nesting

The nesting module allows the user to fill sheet dimensions of any size with rectangles, graphic entities, complete part drawings, ASCII files from other environments and macros. All parts are optimised and laid into the sheet size selected, correct tools are applied along with lead in/out and tool compensation. There is also an Onion Skin option for small components. This module is an absolute MUST for furniture manufactures with Matrix table machines.
NESTING interfaces with VECTOR, DOORS and CABINETS.

Vector

Conversion of images acquired from a scanner or other source, colour or black & white. At the click of a mouse these images become tool paths for your cnc machine.

Doors

For the manufacture of MDF door style for paint or foil wrapping. The Door module comes with a large library of pre defined door models that can be modified to suit customer requirements. Once a door model has been defined then the size can be changed and all tool paths change parametrically to suit the new size. Up to 8 tools can programmed per door.

Cabinet

Realisation of doors using predefined models and user customisable models; models are composed by the front and the back of the door and it is possible to create new models. Of any model available just define the door dimensions to obtain its drawing and all its machinings. If used together with nesting option, it is also possible to optimise the machine worktable (on big panels having various dimensions) with the selected doors and of the desired quantity.
